HomeAbout us

We make software so no shop ever loses a sale.

We are a Venezuelan team. We start with the shops of Calabozo, in Guárico, and go on to the whole country.

Why we exist

In Venezuela you sell with the power and the internet against you. When the connection drops, many systems stop: the line waits, or the sale goes into a notebook nobody types in again.

We built Merlin the other way round. First, the register never stops; then everything else. Every sale is kept on the device and sent on its own when the connection returns.

And because a business's money is delicate, everything leaves a trail: who sold, who adjusted the stock, who closed the register.

What we believe

  1. No sale gets lost

Not to the internet nor to a sync error. If two registers sell the last unit, the system tells you; it deletes nothing.

  2. Your data is yours

If you leave, you take it with you. If you stop paying, it is limited, not deleted.

  3. People are not stopwatches

We do not time how many seconds a cashier takes or rank anyone by speed. We measure the business, not the people.

  4. Legal first

We follow the strictest privacy standard and tell you what the law keeps and for how long.

  5. Honest about what is missing

What is in progress is marked that way. We do not promise what does not exist yet.

Meet the characters

  • Merlín

Our counter apprentice. She sorts, counts and balances, and keeps you company in the system while something gets ready.

  • Nora, Merlin's future assistant, with her round glasses and braid.

    Nora Coming soon

The assistant on her way: she will read your business's numbers and answer in plain words.

How we build it

  • It works without internet from day one, on computer, tablet and phone.
  • Each business is isolated from the rest in the database.
  • Every sensitive change goes into a log nobody can edit.
  • Money and quantities in exact decimals: not a cent lost to rounding.
